Compatibility-wise, this universal 5 micron polypropylene 20 x 4.5 water filter is designed to fit most standard 20" filter housings, making it a compatible replacement for a wide range of industrial and whole-house filter housings. It is compatible with popular brands like 3M, APEC, Aqua-Pure, Culligan, GE, Hydronix, iSpring, Pentek, Whirlpool, and many more. Additionally, it can be used as a replacement for a variety of specific filter models, including AP810-2, SDC-45-2005, FPMB5-20, P5-20, FP25B, 155358-43, and more.
In terms of quality, the Metpure filter is made from 100% melt-blown polypropylene, which is a food-grade material. The filter features a radial multi-gradient, tight-packed structured polypropylene fiber design, which is engineered to maximize impurity holding capacity and provide optimal filtration results and service life, ensuring a healthy and safe water-filtering experience. The filter contains no binders, agents, solvents, wetting agents, or antistatic materials.
Regarding specifications, the filter measures 4.5" x 20" and can operate within a temperature range of 40°F to 160°F (4.5°C to 71°C). Its recommended service life is 6-12 months, depending on usage and water quality.
For safe use, this filter is suitable for drinking water applications, as well as use in hot tubs, spas, pools, and aquariums. However, it should not be used where the water is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the filtration process. It is recommended to flush the filter with at least 3 gallons of water prior to initial use.
To ensure the safety of children, the product packaging should be discarded immediately after removing the filter, as the plastic wrapper poses a risk of suffocation and should not be left within reach of infants and young children.
